Though Elizabeth Barrett was being recognised for her poetic skills even before Robert Browning came into her life, the contribution of her husband in her later literary career can neither be ignored. Before he met his future wife, Robert Browning was a struggling writer: experimenting with diverse forms of literature and not quite successful in any, yet.
